Technical Solutions Engineer (Cloud/Security)

Location: Fully remote within the listed US states; applicants must be full-time residents of the contiguous United States and legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Some travel to in-person meetings, workshops, and trainings may be required.

Salary: $150,235.80–$169,146.60 annual salary plus benefits; placement is based on competency and tiers are non-negotiable.

What you will do

• Serve as the technical subject matter authority and design solutions based on client and project requirements.
• Review RFPs and solicitation materials with Growth, Engineering, and cross-functional colleagues.
• Design and build secure, compliant systems at scale for clients and end users.
• Support Capture Management with RFP/RFI responses, presentation content, oral presentations, and technical challenges.
• Move between business development work and internal engineering projects while improving collaboration across Growth, Engineering, and Delivery.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or full-stack engineering, translating complex business requirements into scalable architectures and deployment workflows.
• Experience collaborating across Product, Design, Research, and Growth teams.
• Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with SSO, SAML, OIDC, and RBAC, plus deep knowledge of security principles, encryption standards, and enterprise compliance requirements including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST 800-53.
• Excellent verbal, written, and/or assistive-technology-supported communication skills, including explaining complex technical matters to non-technical stakeholders, customers, and partners.
• Must reside in one of the listed US states and be legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Startup experience from pre-seed through later funding stages.
• Experience with Active Directory, SAML/SCIM, APIs, TypeScript, Python, and other coding languages.
• Product management and delivery experience.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS, GCP, Azure, CCNA, CCDA, Security+, Network+, CISSP, or CSP, and willingness to obtain additional certifications.
