Sr Engineer - Packaging

Location: Onsite in Juárez, Nuevo León, Mexico

What you will do

• Design, document, evaluate, and improve structural packaging for Kitchen and Bath core products.
• Support packaging engineering from concept through production, distribution, final installation, and destination.
• Develop alternative packaging concepts, prototypes, and CAD drawings; coordinate design verification testing.
• Create and update BOMs, submit engineering change requests, and release revised designs in Windchill and SAP.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses and finalize annualized savings for projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet packaging regulations, operational processes, internal standards, sustainability goals, and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering.
• 2–4 years of related work experience with solid knowledge of engineering principles applied to product packaging design.
• Ability to develop engineering-based solutions to complex problems and apply DFM principles covering manufacturability, assembly, safety, and cost.
• Proficient knowledge of packaging material manufacturing processes, including corrugated, honeycomb, molded pulp, foams, films, wood, and sustainable materials such as reusable, recyclable, and compostable materials.
• Good communication skills for working globally with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English.
• Proficiency in ArtiosCAD, Adobe Illustrator, CAPE, PTC Creo, and Microsoft Office tools.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of product materials and manufacturing processes, including plastic injection molding, brass and zinc casting, steel stamping and fabrication, and compression molding.
