EQS Excellence Coordinator

What you will do

• Lead governance and continual improvement of the integrated EQS management system, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements, audits, management reviews, and certification readiness.
• Coordinate EQS performance management, including indicators for Non-Conformance Costs, Cost Overrun, quality, environmental performance, and health and safety; analyze trends and follow up on action plans.
• Coordinate environmental, occupational safety, and health legal and regulatory compliance, including the legal register, STPS obligations, permits, evaluations, evidence, and gap closure.
• Drive sustainability and decarbonization initiatives covering energy, greenhouse-gas emissions, water, waste, pollution prevention, and resource efficiency.
• Define and coordinate EQS competence and training programs, including role-based qualification, awareness, event learning, Zero Harm, Zero Defects, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop the EQS Excellence team and facilitate cross-functional problem solving using risk-based thinking, root-cause analysis, CAPA, Human and Organizational Performance principles, and digital tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Environmental, Chemical, Quality, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in EQS, EHS, quality systems, operational excellence, or integrated management systems within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in transformer manufacturing, including monitoring EQS indicators such as Non-Conformance Costs and Cost Overrun.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Knowledge of applicable Mexican environmental, occupational safety, and health regulations, including STPS requirements, with experience maintaining compliance evidence and action plans.
• Experience with 8D, A3, root-cause analysis, FMEA, CAPA, risk and opportunity management, and process auditing.
• Understanding of sustainability and decarbonization, including greenhouse-gas accounting, energy and resource efficiency, waste management, and pollution prevention.
• Experience managing and analyzing EQS and operational performance indicators and using digital tools for reporting, visibility, and decision-making.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder-management, facilitation, and change-management skills, plus professional English proficiency and the ability to collaborate internationally.

Hiring process

• The role reports directly to the EQS Manager at the Guanajuato plant.
