Senior Underwriting - Professional Liability

Location: Chicago, IL or New York City, NY. Hybrid work arrangement requiring attendance in the office 2–3 days per week.

Salary: $82,500–$140,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus plan.

What you will do

• Review, evaluate, price, and underwrite new and existing professional liability business in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and minimize risks through due diligence, risk recording and measurement, and escalation of issues when necessary.
• Support business development, portfolio growth, and profitability initiatives for the Financial Lines underwriting team.
• Collaborate with senior underwriters to apply underwriting and pricing best practices.
• Maintain relationships with producers, brokers, and customers.
• Participate in special projects and departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is preferred.
• Moderate relevant experience is preferred, including experience in cyber and private equity.
• Cyber underwriting experience, including risk profiling and pricing tools, is preferred.
• Established customer and broker relationships are preferred.
• Experience underwriting in a high-production environment with increasing levels of responsibility is preferred.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States full-time without current or future visa sponsorship.
