Compensation Analyst

Location: Birmingham, Alabama, United States; hybrid schedule with full days in the office three or more days a week. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Salary: Job range target of $55,398.75 minimum to $75,280.00 median USD.

What you will do

• Administer wage and salary programs under direct supervision.
• Create and maintain job families, job summaries, job-level data, and related records.
• Conduct job audits, research pay practices and trends, and participate in salary surveys.
• Evaluate jobs and assign classifications and pay structures in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Analyze pay structures, market-based grades, geographic differentials, management levels, and organizational structures.
• Recommend and implement associate pay structures under manager or senior consultant guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Ability to research and analyze data, derive facts, and work with varied situations, individuals, business leaders, and groups.
• Analytical, organizational, time management, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

• Two years of Compensation, Human Resources, or professional-level banking experience.
• The position may be filled at a higher level depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
