Solutions Architect - Senior BDVA 1679 (Cloud)

Location: Reston, VA, US. US citizenship and Secret clearance are required.

Salary: $132,000–$199,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Architect secure network topologies and integrations between enterprise systems, COTS products, and legacy databases.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code strategies and establish enterprise-wide security boundaries.
• Create architectural documentation covering system contexts, data flows, and technical blueprints.
• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and security guidelines across the engineering lifecycle.
• Evaluate technologies and vendor products, and mentor senior and mid-level cloud and systems engineers.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in IT engineering, cloud architecture, and technical leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred, and relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical executives.
• Deep understanding of system design, scalability, and zero-trust security principles.
• Strong infrastructure automation experience with tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with Agile delivery models, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, and with a DevSecOps framework.
• Secret security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with federal or DoD security compliance frameworks such as RMF or FedRAMP.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or DoDAF.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
