Software Developer (Fintech)

Location: 100% remote; current work authorization for Canada is required. Toronto office listed.

Base salary: $101,000–$118,000 annual range, plus a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Define business requirements and end-to-end solutions with stakeholders, technology teams, and agile project managers.
• Design, develop, enhance, modify, and maintain application code and software solutions.
• Translate functional specifications into technically implementable solutions.
• Develop and support internal-facing applications for the Information Systems team.
• Collaborate with business partners and peers to deliver projects for the mutual fund industry.

Requirements

• University degree, preferably in Computer Science.
• Minimum 1–2+ years of software development experience.
• Strong understanding of Java, Angular JS, React, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, XHTML, CSS/CSS3, jQuery, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Good knowledge of SQL or database platforms such as Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and innovative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing in a team environment.
• Technical insight to inform, guide, challenge, and support technical decisions, plus commitment to keeping skills current.
• Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Nice to have

• Content Management System experience, specifically Adobe Experience Manager.
• Prior investment, mutual fund, or financial industry experience.
