Location: Remote within the United States; priority for candidates near onX offices or Basecamps. Candidates must reside in a state where onX can employ team members; hiring is unavailable in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Salary: $25.00–$27.50 per hour.

What you will do
- Manually curate high-value datasets in web-based GIS editing platforms.
- Process spatial data through established processing pipelines.
- Perform quality-control checks for spatial-data accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with team leads to resolve data issues and support ad hoc acquisition, curation, and processing needs.
- Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements.
- Experiment with AI as a repeatable workflow co-pilot, refining its use through judgment and validation.
Requirements
- Certificate, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Analysis, or a closely related field.
- Experience with desktop geospatial software such as QGIS or ArcMap.
- Ability to follow documented process instructions.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-directed approach.
- Patience for repetitive tasks and strong concentration for computer-centric work.
- Positive, helpful, and constructive attitude.
- Ability to build efficient working relationships with onX employees and contribute to a strong team dynamic.
Nice to have
- Experience with bathymetry, fisheries research, or points-of-interest data.
- Experience with water- or fishing-related GIS projects.
