Senior FS Preparer (Statutory Accounting)

Location: Fully remote; Bratislavský kraj, Slovakia

Salary: EUR 2,230–4,000 per month for a full-time schedule in Slovakia; the final offer depends on skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end preparation, review, and delivery of statutory financial statements for multiple EMEA entities.
• Coordinate external auditors, tax and legal teams to support timely, high-quality statutory audits.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members and review deliverables for quality and consistency.
• Align statutory and corporate reporting, including the local GAAP-to-US GAAP bridge, and resolve complex accounting and audit issues with regional finance and controllership teams.
• Drive process improvement, automation, standardization, and transformation across statutory reporting activities.
• Support new accounting standards and corporate initiatives while maintaining audit-ready controls and documentation.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CPA, or a similar certification is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in statutory accounting, audit, or financial reporting in a multinational environment.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs across EMEA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple entities under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse teams and geographies.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Big 4 auditors or large multinational companies.
• Exposure to cross-border statutory audits and group consolidation processes.
• Experience leading process improvement or automation initiatives.
• Additional European languages, including German, French, Spanish, or others.
