Design Automation Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

Salary: Annual target compensation of $128,880–$245,160 USD for US-based roles.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and debug software tools, flows, and methodologies for design automation and semiconductor frame structures.
• Capture user stories and requirements and translate them into tool functionality.
• Write functional and test code, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Build web-based interfaces with frontends, backends, databases, and APIs to configure, launch, and control tools.
• Automate build and deployment processes and improve development workflows.
• Collaborate with Lithography, Process Integration, Device Physics, Circuit Design, and RET teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 4+ years of hands-on experience; or a master’s degree and 3+ years; or a PhD and 6+ months of hands-on experience.
• Hands-on experience with network automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD frameworks and version control systems such as Git, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Hands-on expertise deploying and managing network infrastructure in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and visualization tools.
