Junior CI/CD Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Boston, MA; applicants must live within commuting distance of the Boston office and should expect to work in the office 3 days per week.

Salary: $93,000–$115,900 base salary per year, depending on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Build and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines that turn software changes into releasable artifacts.
• Contribute to source control, automated testing, continuous integration, deployment, and release management systems.
• Support test execution, quality gates, test results, dashboards, and visualization of test and performance metrics.
• Write and maintain internal Python scripts for packaging and publishing software releases.
• Work with cloud infrastructure, including AWS EKS, EBS, and Lambda.
• Collaborate with software engineers using GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Slack.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in software development, DevOps, build engineering, release engineering, an internship, or a co-op.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Basic programming experience with Python and/or Bash.
• Familiarity with version control concepts and Git.
• Exposure to or coursework involving software build systems or scripting.
• Basic understanding of visualization tools, including Datadog.
• Eagerness to learn CI/CD tools and workflow automation practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience writing or modifying test frameworks such as pytest, JUnit, or similar tools.
• Exposure to AWS or containerization concepts such as Docker.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, ArgoCD, or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or JCasC.
