2027 Summer Intern Governance and Controls Chicago

Location: Chicago, Illinois; 181 W Madison, Floor 35. Work arrangement details, including the proportion of on-site and remote work, will be discussed during the interview.

Expected hourly rate: $25.00 per hour for the Illinois market, based on experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Support the Risk Governance and Control team through assignments involving governance, risk operations, and analytics.
• Lead projects, develop project management skills, and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Build professional relationships with employees, fellow interns, and executive leadership.
• Participate in mentorship, leadership guidance, and community outreach initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office systems, including Excel.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated interest in risk management functions and governance.
• Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and, where applicable, hold a valid work or study permit.
