Physical & Facility Security Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: San Francisco, CA; onsite five days a week.

Base salary: $167,000–$230,000 per year, plus potential equity awards.

What you will do

• Manage facility access control, badge systems, visitor management, and camera coverage across depots and offices.
• Implement physical security controls for parked and charging fleet vehicles, including OBD ports.
• Protect on-premises server rooms and edge computing infrastructure.
• Manage vendor and contractor access, including provisioning and deprovisioning.
• Work with Physical Security, Facilities, Operations, and the CloudKitchens physical security team to support operations and address coverage gaps.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in physical or facility security, ideally in fleet, logistics, or industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience administering access control and camera systems.
• Experience coordinating with Facilities, Operations, and external vendors across multiple sites.
• Experience securing industrial, fleet, depot, or similar operational environments.

Nice to have

• Experience securing vehicle depots or fleet yards.
• Familiarity with physical and cybersecurity integration, including IoT-enabled access control systems.
