SDET / ETL Backend Tester (Java/Selenium)

Location: US; 100% remote, with candidates required to reside in the DMV area (DC, MD, VA) for occasional onsite meetings and a final face-to-face interview.

hirify.global is hiring for client-facing enterprise software testing work in a cross-functional production environment.

What you will do

• Support production environments and enterprise-level projects involving very large datasets.
• Perform software automation, backend testing, and ETL-related validation.
• Write and maintain automated tests using Java and Selenium, along with other frontend and backend testing tools.
• Write, update, and create Jenkins scripts and code.
• Create, modify, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and automated test scripts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile and Waterfall SDLC processes and defect-management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• At least 6 years of SDET experience, including backend ETL testing.
• Healthcare insurance experience supporting claims or enrollment platforms required.
• Very strong SQL querying skills, including large and complex queries.
• Experience writing and updating Jenkins scripts and new Jenkins code.
• Strong experience using and managing frontend and backend automated testing tools, including Selenium, Java, and SoapUI.
• Experience supporting large datasets in an enterprise environment, including datasets in the millions.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development life-cycle models.
• Experience with defect tracking and management tools such as ALM, AGM, or JIRA.

Nice to have

• Experience with relational database management systems, including DB2 UDB, DB2 mainframe, and MongoDB.
