DevOps Technical Project Manager (DevOps)

What you will do

• Lead the Pipeline team using agile practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Gather pipeline needs from Production, Engineering, and creative leads, prioritize the backlog, and balance linear film and interactive project demands.
• Track dependencies between tools, workflows, releases, and project milestones, communicating impacts to affected teams and stakeholders.
• Manage Jira projects, boards, workflows, dashboards, Confluence roadmaps and documentation, decision logs, and Slack communications.
• Create schedules, roadmaps, resource plans, budgets, and contingency plans while managing risks, blockers, vendors, and delivery constraints.
• Report program status, explain technical tradeoffs, resolve conflicts, and improve team processes using metrics such as sprint velocity and turnaround times.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of project or program management experience, including at least 2 years managing agile software, DevOps, or pipeline teams.
• Technical experience in software or tools development, pipeline, build engineering, or DevOps sufficient to understand architecture, workflows, and technical tradeoffs.
• Understanding of linear film production pipelines, including VFX or animation, asset management, review and approval, and delivery.
• Working proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Slack, GitHub, and Perforce.
• Experience running Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid agile teams, including planning, backlog management, and retrospectives.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, lead multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment, and communicate requirements to multi-tiered audiences.
• Ability to negotiate scope, schedule, and resource tradeoffs; develop plans against performance, budget, and schedule goals; and resolve conflicts productively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build collaboration among team members.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with interactive or real-time pipelines.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and build automation concepts.
• Agile or project management certification such as PMP or CSM.
