Senior Financial Analyst (Revenue Recognition)

What you will do

• Perform hands-on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities related to revenue recognition and current accounting standards.
• Evaluate customer contracts and sales opportunities with appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 605 and ASC 606.
• Analyze revenue accounts and accounting cycles, prepare balance-sheet reconciliations, and document accounting workflows.
• Prepare revenue general-ledger analysis and balance-sheet and P&L analysis with subledger detail and waterfalls.
• Develop and update departmental accounting policies and procedures in a SOX environment.
• Support financial statement preparation, internal and external audits, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of progressive financial analysis and reporting experience in industry or with a major public accounting firm.
• Strong financial background and revenue recognition experience, including a thorough understanding of ASC 605 and ASC 606.
• Experience supporting financial reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
• CPA required or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Expertise in building financial and decision-support models and advanced Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, pivot tables, charts, data validation, and conditional formatting.
• Strong analytical, research, communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and learn multiple ERP systems.
