Capital Markets Operational Risk Analyst (Capital Markets)

Location: Hybrid role requiring a minimum of four days in-office at the Atlanta Midtown location; the position is also available in Hoover, Alabama and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Salary: $87,680.09–$112,476.00 USD annually; may participate in an annual discretionary bonus plan.

What you will do

• Conduct compliance reviews and provide oversight of legal entities, business units, processes, and business initiatives.
• Analyze and support the Operational Risk Framework, including risk and control self-assessments, new initiative risk assessments, operational risk and loss events, scenario analysis, emerging risk identification, and frontline risk assessments.
• Maintain risk-management documentation and reports, compare processes against policies, and communicate compliance issues and decisions to management.
• Assist with reviewing contracts, agreements, and statements of work.
• Lead development of risk assessment programs and mitigation action plans.
• May supervise the day-to-day work of other professional-level operational risk associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of experience in finance, risk, or operations, including experience in the specific business line operations; or a high school diploma/GED and nine years of relevant experience including specific business line operations.
• Attention to detail, excellent analytical and management-reporting skills, excellent communication skills, and organizational and time-management skills.
• The role requires a minimum of four days per week in the Atlanta, Georgia Midtown office.
• The position is exempt from Fair Labor Standards Act timekeeping requirements and is not eligible for overtime pay.
• No securities licenses are required.

Nice to have

• Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and/or Securities operations first-line risk experience is strongly preferred.
