Business Analyst (Cloud Modernization)

Location: Hybrid in Trenton, New Jersey, United States; occasional travel to other divisional sites and possible overtime may be required.

Salary: $55–$60 per hour.

What you will do

• Translate business requirements into functional, system, interface, and technical specifications while documenting current-state and future-state processes.
• Analyze system functionality, data flows, business rules, integrations, security considerations, workflows, and system configurations.
• Support cloud modernization and enterprise application implementations involving Dynamics 365, Leidos IQ, Power Platform, workflow automation, analytics, and cloud-based solutions.
• Support data migration, system conversion, integration, process automation, digital transformation, and solution design with developers, architects, vendors, business stakeholders, agencies, and SMEs.
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, test-case execution, production readiness, go-live validation, stabilization, and follow-up on testing issues.
• Maintain requirements traceability and support risk, issue, change-management, stakeholder-communication, and PMO continuous-improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, including 5 years working with SDLC methodology, a PMO structure, and application-development projects.
• 7 years of experience developing business requirements, functional specifications, and user manuals for medium- to large-sized projects.
• 7 years of experience interviewing user communities, documenting client needs, eliciting requirements, translating them into functional designs, planning tests, and producing user documentation.
• 5 years of experience working as a BA across 4–5 projects simultaneously.
• 5 years of experience with UML modeling under Agile methodology and BRD/FRD creation under Waterfall methodology.
• 7 years of experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to perform sedentary computer-based work and essential job functions consistent with ADA and applicable federal, state, and local standards.

Nice to have

• 5 years of experience creating and executing system functional unit-test cases and documenting test results.
• 1 year of experience working with state or federal government agencies.
