Senior Software Engineer (Agent Experiences)

Location: Remote - Americas; other listed location: Remote - North America.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture for safe agent execution from tool calls through trading systems.
• Design and build account-level policies and guardrails for external agent actions.
• Own services that evaluate rules on the path into trading systems and maintain their production reliability.
• Define agent-initiated trading behavior with engineers responsible for tools, skills, MCP servers, and related standards.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Identity teams to define and implement the control model.
• Review designs, guide technical decisions, mentor engineers, and ship the first version hands-on.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production backend systems; scope and ownership are prioritized over a strict year count.
• Experience shipping autonomous execution that acted under explicit policy and rejected or stopped actions outside that policy.
• Experience designing and implementing account-level application policies with durable rules, enforcement on the action path, and decision auditing.
• Enough MCP architecture knowledge to work with stateless and stateful behavior, plus production experience building to MCP or connector, plugin, or skill standards as they evolved.
• Ability to define with Product, Compliance, and Risk which account rules permit unattended actions.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript and willingness to work primarily in Go.
• Strong architectural judgment and a record of shipping while requirements are still being defined.
• Clear communication with engineering, product, compliance, and risk partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with agent identity and authorization, including OAuth, tokens, scopes, or delegated access.
• Experience shipping developer-facing tools, SDKs, or MCP servers.
• Experience building agents with a framework such as LangChain.
• Experience or understanding of financial markets.
