Associate, Transmission (External Agency Staff)

Location: Inglewood, California, United States. This is an in-office role with onsite presence required; remote and hybrid options are not offered.

hirify.global Media produces and distributes live sports broadcast and streaming content across hirify.global platforms, clubs, and production operations.

What you will do

• Monitor and coordinate broadcast transmission workflows to receive and distribute video content according to broadcast specifications.
• Support live remote productions including hirify.global Network games, the Super Bowl, hirify.global Combine, hirify.global Draft, and other hirify.global Network events.
• Collaborate with Production, Streaming Video, Remote Operations, Engineering, hirify.global Films, Encompass Atlanta, hirify.global Network Master Control, and all 32 hirify.global Clubs.
• Troubleshoot feed, signal, synchronization, audio, and video issues and communicate escalations during live broadcasts.
• Perform test bar setups, transmission, sync, and fax checks before live shows and remote events.
• Manage bookings and goodnight procedures for The Switch, Lumen, AT&T Fiber, and satellite orders, and generate broadcast reports.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a broadcast operations environment, including 2110, HD/SD, ASI, JPEG, and MPLS signals and troubleshooting of those signal paths.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and SMPTE 2110 signal flows.
• Ability to read audio meters and digital and analog waveform monitors and set up test bars.
• Understanding of common broadcast signal problems, including audio levels or distortion, sync issues, and video issues, with the ability to rectify them.
• Ability to perform sync and fax checks before live broadcasts and events.
• Familiarity with EVS IP Director ingest server systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple feeds while maintaining broadcast quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documenting on-air issues and maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
