Casting Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Shawano, Wisconsin, United States; onsite.

hirify.global is a fourth-generation family-owned manufacturer producing ductile and gray iron castings for government, defense, agricultural, heavy truck, pump, valve, and compressor customers.

What you will do

• Assist with the design and development of casting tooling.
• Support new product launches through process planning, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Use CAD software to create, review, and update tooling designs and engineering drawings.
• Identify opportunities to improve casting processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.
• Identify casting defects, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the Casting Engineering team on daily operations, technical challenges, and additional projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment and handle multiple tasks.
