Sustaining Intern - Graduating High School Senior (Summer 2027) (Manufacturing Engineering)

Location: Normandale, United States; on-site work at the Recording Head development and manufacturing facility in Edina and Bloomington.

Base wage: $20.00–22.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support technician and engineering activities across multiple projects aligned with academic interests and career goals.
• Update process documentation, create training materials, perform CAD design, and program using various coding languages.
• Set up and operate automatic and semi-automatic production equipment.
• Monitor and audit production processes, support production, quality, and cost objectives, and test new equipment.
• Troubleshoot suspect wafers and processes, analyze rework and scrap data, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions.
• Work closely with shift engineers and technicians while gaining exposure to engineering disciplines, physics, and chemistry.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older when the program starts.
• Must be a high school graduate planning to pursue a science or engineering degree in Fall 2027.
• Interest in manufacturing or engineering as a potential career path.
• Ability to work from process sheets and written or verbal instructions and follow established procedures for routine work.
