Lead, Program Management (Aerospace)

Location: Greenville, Texas, US; onsite role with approximately 20% travel. Schedule: 9/80, with every other Friday off.

What you will do

• Lead avionics development, aircraft integration, and delivery contracts from inception through completion.
• Manage cost, schedule, technical performance, milestones, risks, resources, budgets, and contract changes.
• Coordinate proposals, business plans, work statements, specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms.
• Act as the primary customer and subcontractor interface and lead program meetings, reviews, briefings, and presentations.
• Coordinate modification, integration, and test activities with technical, manufacturing, administrative, customer, and subcontractor stakeholders.
• Direct assigned functional employees and support special projects such as new product development, subcontractor relationships, obsolescence management, manufacturing offloads, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or business discipline with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 7 years of related experience.
• Experience developing and producing DOD aviation or aerospace products.
• Experience with aircraft integration or aircraft maintenance efforts.
• Ability to respond to customer needs and quick-reaction requirements, including support outside normal business hours when required.
• Employment may require background checks, pre-employment substance abuse testing, and eligibility for classified-information access where applicable; security clearances may be granted only to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of manpower planning, milestone scheduling, program management tools, and financial management.
• Experience with SAP and material processes.
• Experience supporting government contractors, DOD, or aerospace companies.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems, metrics, trend identification, policy execution, and process compliance.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and assessing program strengths and weaknesses.
• Project Management Professional certification.
