Senior AI Developer (Product Operations)

Location: Canada — Remote; access to the Montreal office and in-person gatherings twice a year.

Base salary: $140,000–$170,000 annually; final offers may be adjusted by candidate region within Canada.

What you will do

• Ship production agents with Product Managers, beginning with brief creation and the Product Manager-to-design handoff.
• Define shared architecture and standards for orchestration, skills, memory, evaluations, and guardrails across both product lines.
• Own production quality through observability, testing, security, cost controls, and human approval gates.
• Co-design small iterations with Product Managers, using and extending existing automation.
• Measure time saved, customer-signal-to-decision time, and agent and feature costs.
• Share agent development practices so others can build, operate, and improve agents independently.

Requirements

• Strong production engineering experience across the agent development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience designing and shipping multi-agent systems to production, including orchestration, tools, context, and memory.
• Experience integrating agents with tools such as Slack, Atlassian, and MCP.
• Experience evaluating and instrumenting non-deterministic systems, including evaluations, observability, regression testing, and cost tracking.
• Architectural judgment across reliability, security, and cost, including selecting appropriate models and defending technical decisions.
• Experience building components or tooling adopted by other people.
• Product sense and understanding of Product Manager workflows; ability to build with users.
• Collaborative builder mindset, comfort with ambiguity in an early-stage project, and daily critical use of AI-assisted development tools.

• Product management experience or experience with a B2B SaaS, HR, or IT product.
