Product Manager (Drones)

Location: Teal Drones, SLC, UT 84115, USA. The position requires proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence for work subject to ITAR/EAR restrictions and does not support sponsorship for export-restricted work authorization.

What you will do

• Own assigned drone products or product areas throughout concept, definition, development, production, release, sustainment, and retirement.
• Develop product strategies and roadmaps, set priorities, manage dependencies, and align product investments with company objectives.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Marketing, Business Development, and other functions.
• Define, document, and prioritize technical and business requirements, user stories, and product specifications based on customer and business needs.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis, engage customers and partners, and support go-to-market planning and product launches.
• Track product performance, risks, costs, schedules, quality, and customer feedback while driving issue mitigation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 3–7 years of experience in product management, engineering, program management, product development, operations, or a related technical environment.
• Experience working with complex hardware, software, or integrated hardware/software products.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, take ownership of products and deliverables, and drive cross-functional activities to completion.
• Experience gathering and translating customer, business, and technical needs into product requirements or actionable development priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical and business information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Successful completion of a post-offer background check is required.
• For ITAR/EAR-restricted work, proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required; sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of UAS systems, products, or related technologies.
• Experience with defense products, customers, or government programs.
• Experience working with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, or Business Development teams.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other product development methodologies.
• Understanding of product development from concept through production and sustainment.
• Ability to analyze market, customer, technical, and business information to support product decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, curiosity, and effectiveness in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
