Financial Accountant - General Ledger (E-commerce)

Location: Sevenum, Netherlands; onsite. Applicants must be EU citizens or hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Prepare accurate journal entries and maintain financial records across general ledger accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end closings, including balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Own the fixed assets register, including updates, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Analyze general ledger accounts, validate journal entries, and support accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain timely compliance with accounting standards and regulations while improving internal controls and audit readiness.
• Support the Senior General Ledger Accountant and manage discount invoices through preparation and follow-up.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in a finance-related role within an international company.
• Comfort working with ERP systems and financial software, ideally in an e-commerce environment.
• Tech-savvy mindset and confidence navigating multiple systems and tools.
• Excellent English and/or German language skills.
• EU citizenship or a valid work permit for the Netherlands is required.
