Senior Product Designer - Games

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; in-office Monday–Thursday and work from home on Fridays.

Salary: $95,000–$119,000 annual base pay range.

What you will do

• Design and develop gameplay experiences across family, party, strategy, card, and other tabletop games.
• Take concepts through ideation, prototyping, playtesting, refinement, and final product execution.
• Translate gameplay into physical products, components, and interactions using sketching, model making, CAD, rendering, and visualization tools.
• Partner with Engineering, Packaging, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Licensing, Operations, and external development partners to balance creativity, manufacturing feasibility, quality, cost, and sustainability.
• Present concepts, participate in critiques, manage multiple projects, and identify practical solutions and tradeoffs throughout development.
• Share knowledge and techniques with junior designers and contribute to improved design tools, workflows, and best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in game design, toy design, industrial design, consumer product design, or a closely related field, including demonstrated development of physical products.
• Experience designing tabletop, card, party, strategy, family, or adjacent play experiences and understanding engaging gameplay.
• Experience with ideation, prototyping, playtesting, iteration, and product development from concept through production.
• Strong industrial design fundamentals, including sketching, form development, prototyping, visualization, and 3D design tools.
• Understanding of consumer product development, materials, manufacturing processes, tooling, and production constraints.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling concepts and presentations.
• Strong collaboration, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity about how and why people play and passion for creating products that bring people together.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping commercially successful tabletop, card, or family games.
• Experience facilitating structured playtesting or working with consumer research.
• Experience with licensed entertainment brands or global product development organizations.
• Familiarity with modern tabletop gaming trends, mechanics, and player communities.
• Strong personal interest in games and play.
