Senior Developer Oracle Retail Merchandising (Oracle)

What you will do

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle Retail Merchandising solutions.
• Build complex PL/SQL components, including stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and SQL queries.
• Integrate upstream and downstream systems and support data migration, batch processing, error handling, and job scheduling.
• Troubleshoot application, data, integration, and performance issues in enterprise-scale retail merchandising environments.
• Own technical deliverables, participate in technical design and code reviews, resolve defects, and support releases and production operations.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, QA, and development teams using Agile/Scrum, Git, and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Developer in Oracle Retail Merchandising.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Retail Merchandising modules and Oracle PL/SQL, including complex SQL development, performance tuning, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Experience developing and supporting Oracle Retail solutions with integrations, data migration, batch processing, robust error handling, and job scheduling.
• Experience troubleshooting application, data, integration, and performance issues, with a focus on data validation, reconciliation, and profiling.
• Knowledge of Oracle database concepts, Oracle Retail data flows, and retail merchandising domain processes.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments and using Git and CI/CD practices.
• English fluency at least at B2/C1 level.
• Availability for a hybrid work model based in Porto.
• Based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit.

Nice to have

• Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Data migration and ETL experience.
• Data warehousing knowledge, including fact/dimension models, star/snowflake schemas, and slowly changing dimensions.
