Enterprise Solutions Engineer (Storage)

Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in the Ottawa, Canada metro area to support customers and partners in the territory; candidates outside this area will be disqualified.

Target salary range: 214,200–277,200 CAD OTE, including base salary and potential commission.

What you will do

• Serve as the technical lead and trusted advisor for enterprise accounts while partnering with Enterprise Client Executives on strategy, pipeline development, and deal closure.
• Build relationships with channel partners and partner SEs, coordinating co-selling, co-strategy, and joint field execution.
• Lead discovery sessions to identify business challenges, technical gaps, and future-state goals.
• Architect and configure hirify.global solutions across ONTAP, SAN, NAS, block, file, hybrid cloud, and data protection environments.
• Manage concurrent opportunities from net-new logo pursuits through long-cycle strategic enterprise deals, including protect-and-expand motions.
• Engage customers on AI readiness, data strategy, hybrid cloud, and disaster recovery while collaborating with Solutions Architecture, Engineering, and Professional Services.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or systems engineering within a quota-driven environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise or Fortune 1000 customers through complex sales cycles.
• Strong infrastructure, storage, and storage-adjacent technology background.
• Deep knowledge of on-premises SAN, NAS, block, and file environments and their integration into broader architectures.
• Experience designing and configuring deployable solutions in customer environments and translating requirements into outcomes.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud, virtualization platforms, and data protection or disaster recovery strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple deals across different stages, priorities, and customer types.
• Experience working with channel partners, including partner SE alignment and joint execution.
• Strong discovery, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
• Ability to think strategically while executing tactically and must be based in the designated Ottawa metro area.
