Program Manager

Location: Fully remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance.

Salary: $160,000–$170,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead successful delivery of one or more digital modernization programs supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Oversee agile teams of engineers, designers, product managers, and other specialists.
• Align program delivery with mission goals, compliance standards, and timelines.
• Manage cross-functional delivery across the software development lifecycle.
• Engage stakeholders and bridge technical and non-technical groups.

Requirements

• 10+ years of program or project management experience leading digital delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban.
• Proven success managing cross-functional teams across the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Familiarity with federal IT compliance, reporting standards, and ATO processes.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, human-centered design, and digital transformation best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• For certain roles, U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Understanding of VA.gov, Lighthouse APIs, or similar platforms.
• Experience as a federal contractor or supporting prime contracts.
• Exposure to human-centered design or digital product strategy.
