EHS&S Manager (Environmental Health, Safety and Security)

Location: Casaletto Vaprio, Italy, with approximately 50% travel across Italy, primarily Northern Italy.

Salary: €65,000–€75,000 gross per year, plus an annual bonus of up to 13% of base salary.

What you will do

• Lead EHS compliance, continuous improvement, and management-system activities for the Casaletto Vaprio site and Field Safety operations across Italy.
• Develop and implement local EHS strategies, programs, procedures, infrastructure investments, and improvement plans aligned with corporate and regional requirements.
• Coordinate EHS activities across Italian business units and collaborate with Process Safety Managers, operational leaders, and the EHS Country Manager.
• Drive risk assessments, incident and near-miss investigations, corrective actions, audits, reviews, training, and risk-reduction initiatives.
• Manage EHS resources, budgets, priorities, regulatory communications, and support for acquisitions and business changes.
• Act as a technical EHS expert, coaching stakeholders and promoting safety, wellbeing, Wellness, Ergo Cup, and “Drive to Zero” initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in EHS, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline preferred; alternatively, a relevant EHS qualification with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the ability to monitor existing and emerging requirements.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, business drivers, and operational challenges.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence people at all organizational levels.
• Flexibility to travel across different locations within Italy, with approximately 50% of working time spent travelling.
