NOC Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Buenos Aires, La Plata, Mar del Plata, Bahía Blanca, San Nicolás de los Arroyos, or Quilmes, Argentina.

What you will do

• Monitor IP and transmission platforms, including xWDM, sites, and owned or leased fiber infrastructure.
• Investigate alarms, faults, outages, and potential service-impacting issues, resolving incidents at first line whenever possible.
• Own incidents through resolution and restoration while coordinating with hardware vendors, field support, network providers, and internal teams.
• Document incidents accurately, maintain stakeholder communication during major incidents, and track SLA commitments.
• Prepare root cause analyses and outage reports, and act as the single point of contact during planned maintenance and outages.
• Configure and improve NOC monitoring tools and processes.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in a NOC or similar network operations environment.
• Strong network troubleshooting expertise across IP and/or transmission platforms, with knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS, and xWDM technologies.
• CCNP Enterprise-level knowledge for IP-focused roles or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools, incident handling, and fault management.
• Experience working with Linux and Windows environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical reporting skills.
• Ability to take ownership, make decisions in time-critical situations, collaborate with internal teams and external providers, and maintain a high level of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, international environment, with a proactive mindset and willingness to continuously learn and improve.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
• Telecom industry background.
• Experience configuring or improving NOC monitoring tools.
