Sr. M&A Manager (Fintech)

Location: New York, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office. Some travel is expected, approximately 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $172,100–$275,800 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Identify, assess, and execute mergers, acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives supporting hirify.global’s growth strategy.
• Investigate industry trends and growth opportunities, develop data-grounded strategic views, and communicate recommendations to executive stakeholders.
• Perform valuation, financial modeling, business case analysis, and investment analysis for potential transactions.
• Manage detailed cross-functional and external diligence processes, prioritize critical findings, and assess transaction rationales and risks.
• Build presentations for senior leadership, outlining strategic trade-offs and supporting executive decision-making.
• Support post-close integration and separation planning, pipeline management, market outreach, and relationships with investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and partner companies.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 5 years with an advanced degree, or 2 years with a PhD.
• Experience executing multiple transactions from target identification through closing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.
• Experience leading complex projects with multiple workstreams and cross-functional and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence, including engagement with senior leaders, boards, and external partners.
• Hands-on experience identifying, evaluating, and addressing legal, regulatory, accounting, and tax deal issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively while providing independent thought leadership.

Nice to have

• At least 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 7 years with an advanced degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
• MBA or another relevant graduate degree from a top-tier institution.
• Experience in financial services and/or payments.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.
• Global or multinational business experience.
