Member of Technical Staff - Cloud Infrastructure (AI)

Location: Mountain View, CA or Greater Seattle Area; complimentary meals are available when working from the Palo Alto office.

What you will do

• Architect, build, and maintain bespoke internal enterprise productivity applications powered by agentic AI, including recruiting tools, contextual assistants, knowledge bases, and semantic search.
• Own applications throughout their lifecycle, using Databricks Apps to deploy, host, scale, and maintain reliable, performant internal tools.
• Define product requirements with internal stakeholders, rapidly prototype solutions, collect feedback, and prioritize the roadmap.
• Evaluate the AI ecosystem and lead build-versus-buy decisions for internal tooling.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience across frontend and backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or modern JavaScript ecosystems, including Node.js, React, or Next.js.
• Hands-on experience building agentic applications and orchestrating LLMs with LangChain or similar frameworks.
• Solid database fundamentals and practical experience with both SQL and vector databases.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and end-to-end ownership of application deployment.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex in an AI-native development workflow.
• Demoable personal or past projects showcasing relevant full-stack or AI-driven builds.

Nice to have

• Experience developing enterprise applications, especially internal productivity or operations tools.
• Deep application security knowledge, including SSO, OAuth, SAML, authentication protocols, and access controls.
• Expertise designing and deploying RAG pipelines and using advanced prompt engineering techniques.
• Experience deploying, scaling, and maintaining applications in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with machine learning or silicon engineering.
