Offshore Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States, with international travel of up to approximately 50% of the time.

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support Motor/Resolver production lines and outsource vendors.
• Oversee manufacturing process development with domestic and international teams.
• Review drawings, tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layouts, quotes, and continuous-improvement activities.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and recommend manufacturability improvements.
• Prepare operational performance, schedule attainment, spending, and capital-expenditure reports for leadership.
• Support supplier technical exchanges, cross-training, and compliance with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and ITAR.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or related role.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to approximately 50% of the time.
• Experience communicating with internal and external customers, coworkers, and other business disciplines.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to function effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and collaborate effectively with diverse international teams and clients.
• Ability to enforce and follow applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including ITAR.

Nice to have

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with lean principles and Six Sigma.
• Electro-mechanical or magnetic background.
• Conversational bilingual English and Spanish skills for communication with Spanish-speaking clients.
