What you will do

• Extend the core AI and agentic platform to support trading-desk research and data-driven insights.
• Configure agentic AI infrastructure, orchestration layers, runtimes, and supporting services within the AWS VPC.
• Build and maintain AWS Lambda and MCP server integrations connecting agents to firm data, APIs, and internal systems.
• Develop agent skills, knowledge bases, document stores, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines across user, chat, agent, and application contexts.
• Evaluate and integrate open-source and proprietary AI connectors and frameworks, including LangChain, LlamaIndex, and n8n.
• Support secure deployment of Microsoft Copilot and Claude Code, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and iterative workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Genuine interest in AI, large language models, and generative AI, including how these systems work and are built.
• Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience writing scripts, working with APIs, or building small applications through coursework, projects, or hackathons.
• Familiarity with cloud concepts or services, preferably AWS, containerisation with Docker, or REST APIs, including introductory or project-level experience.
• Ability to research unfamiliar technologies, synthesise documentation, and assess trade-offs with limited guidance.
• Clear communication skills for explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical colleagues and collaborating in a small, fast-moving team.
• Collaborative, organised, detail-oriented, and ownership-driven approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and rapid change, adapting quickly and iterating on new findings.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of energy trading markets, including balancing mechanism operations, Power Purchase Agreements, and Virtual Power Plants.
• Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Chroma, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, or equivalent managed AI services.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code such as CloudFormation or CDK.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, or multi-agent system design.
• AI/ML hackathon participation, open-source contributions, LLM or automation projects, or active engagement with AI development communities.
• Portuguese as a second language.
