Software Engineer IIs (Backend-Microservices Architecture, Cloud/AWS)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.

What you will do

• Develop basic to moderately complex code for internal and external client software solutions using frontend or backend programming languages.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to create program specifications and support project or issue delivery.
• Analyze, modify, and develop code, unit tests, application documentation, and validation requirements.
• Perform corrective measures for code deficiencies and escalate alternative proposals.
• Apply application standards, procedures, methodology, and Payment Card Industry security compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field, plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree in one of the listed fields plus three years of experience in the required skills is accepted.
• Experience coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data with IBM Rational Tools.
• Experience with Java, Python, .NET, JavaScript, APIs, external services, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with DDL and DML and databases including Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, IMS, DB2, and Hadoop.
• Backend experience with Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, Mainframe COBOL, and Mainframe Assembler.
• Frontend experience with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CICS.
• Experience with Node.js, React.js, Angular, Redux, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Webpack, Babel, Gulp, and iOS and Android development.
