What you will do

  • Provide strategic leadership for services supporting Children in Care, Care Leavers, and Permanence.
  • Lead Service Managers and frontline teams to deliver purposeful, child-centred and relationship-based practice.
  • Drive service improvement through performance data, audit activity, quality assurance, and feedback from children.
  • Champion the voice of children and young people to ensure their views influence service delivery.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with partners across education, health, police, and the voluntary sector.
  • Manage resources and budgets effectively to deliver value for money and excellent outcomes.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker (Diploma in Social Work, CQSW or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant senior leadership experience within Children's Services.
  • Track record of improving practice quality and performance within Corporate Parenting or related statutory services.
  • Detailed knowledge of children's social care legislation, statutory guidance, and practice frameworks.
  • Proven experience in budget and resource management.
