What you will do
- Provide strategic leadership for services supporting Children in Care, Care Leavers, and Permanence.
- Lead Service Managers and frontline teams to deliver purposeful, child-centred and relationship-based practice.
- Drive service improvement through performance data, audit activity, quality assurance, and feedback from children.
- Champion the voice of children and young people to ensure their views influence service delivery.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with partners across education, health, police, and the voluntary sector.
- Manage resources and budgets effectively to deliver value for money and excellent outcomes.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker (Diploma in Social Work, CQSW or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant senior leadership experience within Children's Services.
- Track record of improving practice quality and performance within Corporate Parenting or related statutory services.
- Detailed knowledge of children's social care legislation, statutory guidance, and practice frameworks.
- Proven experience in budget and resource management.
