Product Owner (Oil & Gas Software)

Location: Oslo, Norway; hybrid work with some travel to customer sites and workshops. A valid work permit for Norway is required.

hirify.global develops cloud-native engineering software for designing, planning, and constructing wells for oil and gas, carbon capture and storage, and geothermal energy. Its WellDesign platform combines AI with physics-based simulations.

What you will do

• Lead development projects for new products and functionality, and further develop existing WellDesign modules.
• Plan and follow up sprints while working closely with software developers.
• Bring well engineering expertise into cross-functional teams, clarify requirements, and make trade-off decisions.
• Drive functional testing, quality assurance, and technical verification before releases.
• Collaborate with customers and provide technical support to Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales.
• Maintain and update technical documentation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in petroleum, drilling, mechanical, or a similar relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Very good knowledge of different types of well planning software.
• Ability to work with people across departments and professional disciplines.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver on commitments.
• Fluent written and verbal Norwegian and English.
• Valid work permit for Norway.

Nice to have

• Experience in drilling and well engineering, including well planning or follow-up of well operations.
• Experience with agile software development or as a Product Owner.
• Knowledge of hirify.global WellDesign and Forecast.
