Product & Business Development Manager (Energy Markets)

What you will do

• Support the identification, prioritisation, design, and implementation of strategic growth initiatives across European power derivatives and adjacent commodity markets.
• Bring commercial insight and customer perspectives into Nord Pool and hirify.global product development.
• Conduct market analysis through research, client and partner engagement, conferences, and monitoring of evolving customer requirements.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and assess potential business and partnership opportunities.
• Prepare market assessments, product rationales, business cases, and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Exchange Desk, IT, and other stakeholders to turn market intelligence into commercial results and successful product launches.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience within energy trading, exchanges, or related market infrastructure, with a solid understanding of European power and gas markets, including physical and derivatives markets.
• Ability to drive projects independently and translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop robust conclusions from quantitative and qualitative information.
• Experience working across multiple countries and cultures in an international environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.

• Scandinavian and/or other European language skills.
