Experimental Quantum Engineer (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Own, purchase, build, maintain, and upgrade state-of-the-art cryogenic measurement setups.
• Operate cryogenic quantum hardware hands-on, including dilution refrigerators.
• Develop and refine Python-based measurement routines for device characterization.
• Characterize quantum chips, superconducting qubits, and amplifiers to evaluate and improve device performance.
• Identify abnormalities, investigate root causes, and develop countermeasures with Fabrication and Design colleagues.
• Continuously improve measurement setups, software, and operational processes as product volume and complexity increase.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in physics or electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on quantum computing.
• Hands-on programming experience, preferably with Python.
• Tech-savvy, fast-learning, and execution-oriented approach, including willingness to work hands-on with hardware and in Python code.
• Enjoyment of problem-solving and methodical process improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with superconducting circuits and microwave measurement techniques.
