EHS Engineer (PCP) 15 Months Training Programme (Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Support Process Safety Management systems, Process Safety Information, Process Hazard Analyses such as HAZOP, revalidation, Management of Change, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, and process safety performance tracking.
• Support the safe introduction of new processes and modifications while learning applicable Singapore process safety standards and regulatory requirements from MOM, NEA, and SCDF.
• Assist with workplace safety activities, including risk assessments, incident investigations, near-miss reporting, site inspections, safety audits, Gemba walks, contractor safety management, and Permit-to-Work processes.
• Support environmental compliance activities covering waste management, air emissions, effluent discharge, hazardous-waste disposal, permits, submissions, and industrial hygiene monitoring.
• Support emergency response planning, spill-control readiness, fire safety activities, emergency drills, training exercises, and maintenance of EHS procedures and manuals.
• Maintain EHS and process safety documentation, training records, incident logs, reports, and presentations while participating in structured training and on-the-job learning.

Requirements

• No prior working experience in the biopharmaceutical sector.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; mid-career candidates must have graduated at least 2 years before application.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Eligibility must meet the requirements of the Singapore WSG Career Conversion Programme for Individuals.

• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with coding languages and software development processes.
• Background in data analysis and ability to interpret complex information.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience using AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, for problem solving and productivity, along with understanding of responsible AI practices, risk management, and ethical use.
