Technology Development Engineer Intern (Silicon Photonics)

Location: SGP - Science Park, Singapore; full-time, onsite internship commencing January 2027

What you will do

• Fabricate and integrate silicon photonics process development by following process documentation and operating instructions.
• Prepare process-flow setup documents and collaborate with Silicon Photonics technology development engineers.
• Summarize and analyze inline data, including thickness and critical dimension measurements.
• Document and analyze electrical and optical test results and device performance.
• Collaborate with project team members to ensure devices meet specifications and verify performance.
• Perform assigned duties according to project progress and company goals while supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

• Actively pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical, Electrical, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field through an accredited degree program during the internship.
• Be in good academic standing.
• Be able to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Be available for a 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027.

Nice to have

• Prior related internship or co-op experience.
• Leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, or competitions.
• Project management skills, including innovating and executing solutions and navigating ambiguity.
• Strong interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision-making.
• Strong motivation and interest in silicon photonics technology.
