Senior Accountant - Reporting, Kuala Lumpur Hub (Mandarin Speaker)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid working arrangement.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain alignment with the A2R Core Model, including transitions to the Kuala Lumpur hub.
• Prepare and ensure the quality and timeliness of statutory accounts, consolidation packages, and statutory financial statements.
• Monitor compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, SAGA, GDOPS, SOX controls, and internal control frameworks.
• Support closing governance, CFO closing meetings, hirify.global Account Committee activities, and customer board preparation with detailed financial analysis.
• Collaborate with Country Finance, Finance Operations, tax, treasury, and other end-to-end processes to manage closing risks and support global projects and transitions.
• Identify process and technology improvements, including ERP and automation opportunities, and monitor service performance against SLAs.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, A2R, or a shared services center environment.
• Experience in a multinational or regional corporate business environment, or a similar setting.
• Working experience with SAP, specifically FI/CO.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel.
• Good written and verbal English and Mandarin communication skills.
• Knowledge of the accounting standards applicable in the main countries of the region and IFRS.
• Attention to detail.
• ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or a Bachelor's or Professional Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or an equivalent qualification.
