Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical/Automation)

Location: Tianjin, China; onsite five days a week with shift rotation to support production.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve processes in the control cabinet assembly area, genset main assembly line, and software download and testing area.
• Ensure manufacturing operations meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Identify and implement enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
• Monitor equipment and process reliability, identify problem areas, and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze engineering change notices, determine required part or process changes, and implement them.
• Provide engineering support for the planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, and facilities.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering processes, manufacturing methods, lean manufacturing, problem solving, and decision-making techniques.
• Knowledge of electrical and control systems, including control cabinet assembly, harness routing and connections, electrical schematic interpretation, software downloading, and functional testing and validation.
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex electrical and mechanical assembly issues, including control system faults, harness interferences, signal abnormalities, assembly quality concerns, and production floor issues.
• Ability to drive cross-functional problem resolution through to closure.
• More than 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience focused on electrical functions.
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead automation, digitalization, and manufacturing productivity improvement initiatives.
• Ability to support production through shift rotation.
