Sr. Software Engineer - Sensor, macOS (Hybrid)

Location: USA - Remote with a hybrid requirement of 2–3 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations: New York, NY; Austin, TX; Sunnyvale, CA; or Redmond, WA.

Base salary: $140,000–$220,000 per year for U.S. candidates, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

What you will do

• Design and develop software for deployment on macOS systems.
• Own core sensor features from design through delivery.
• Build and maintain user-space sensor components in C++ and Swift for prevention, detection, response, and telemetry.
• Develop features across macOS file system, memory, process, and networking subsystems, including components shared with Windows and Linux.
• Collaborate with multifunctional teams across physical locations.
• Troubleshoot product issues reported by customers and respond promptly.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality code in C/C++ and Swift through professional experience, schoolwork, or community projects.
• Experience developing product code on macOS with high-concurrency requirements and strong multithreading usage.
• Experience developing highly reliable macOS product code with detailed low-level operating requirements, including memory usage, efficient performance, and conformance to external standards.
• Experience working on a team to ship major features and releases.
• Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with endpoint products, cybersecurity, or networking technologies such as network security, network protocols, or network infrastructure.
