Software Engineer I (Apache Pinot)

What you will do

• Own and drive distributed-systems problems from inception through production launch.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and prioritize high-impact projects.
• Improve engineering quality, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and grow engineers while learning from experienced engineers.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience.
• Strong distributed-systems fundamentals and experience solving problems at scale.
• Ability to take ideas from concept through implementation and production delivery.
• Strong ownership of quality and customer experience, with focus on reliability, observability, performance, and ease of use.
• Adaptability and flexibility when priorities change.
• Curiosity, positivity, and resilience when navigating ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Comfort using AI tools in everyday engineering workflows and willingness to integrate AI into building, debugging, testing, and problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Java experience; the platform is Java-based.
