Global Trade Operations APJ Program Manager (Import/Export)

What you will do

• Provide local import and export subject matter expertise to business teams and serve as the regional point of contact for business units, functions, brokers, and carriers.
• Support new business models and legal entity setup across the APJ region.
• Roll out and manage the regional Broker Management Program, including KPI management.
• Implement global trade compliance policies, own the regional internal control program, and deliver training to business stakeholders.
• Lead complex compliance projects, investigations, voluntary disclosures, compliance assessments, and corrective actions.
• Engage with regulatory authorities and industry forums, communicate regulatory changes, maintain records, and drive process improvements and regional compliance planning.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of direct experience in import/export and trade compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or Logistics Operations.
• Strong understanding of US and APAC regional import and export regulations.
• Agility and flexibility when adapting to change and using technology.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across different cultures and countries.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to develop engaging presentations.
• Growth mindset, problem-solving attitude, openness to digitization, and strong attention to detail.
• Program management, multitasking, and ability to perform under high pressure while maintaining a clear line of sight.
• Commitment to integrity, ethics, accountability, and strong relationships.

Nice to have

• Ability to perform HTS and ECCN classification.
• Expertise in determining Rules of Origin and Country of Origin.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and related applications.
• Experience working with international customs and export control laws.
• Experience mentoring junior-level staff.
• Exposure to ERP platforms such as GTS, GTM, or similar systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally as required.
• High motivation and personal excellence through effective time management and accountability.
