FPGA Hardware Design Engineer (FPGA)

Location: hirify.global Europe HQ, Marlow, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. Full-time, 13-month fixed-term placement. Must be currently enrolled in a UK-based university on a relevant degree and studying toward an industrial placement year.

What you will do

• Participate in the full FPGA IP and system development lifecycle, from concept and specification through implementation, verification, and release.
• Develop SoC designs combining CPU and FPGA for advanced video and analytics applications.
• Model and prototype new hardware architectures.
• Optimize FPGA-based board support packages.
• Work in an Agile environment with local and global teams and occasionally interact with customers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a UK-based university on a relevant degree such as Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Second- or third-year student enrolled in a degree with an industrial placement year.
• Strong digital design skills using FPGA or ASIC technologies and Verilog or VHDL.
• Programming experience in C or C++.
• Scripting knowledge, such as Python or Tcl.
• Curiosity, self-motivation, collaborative mindset, and excellent communication skills.
