Staff Engineer - Fullstack .NET Developer

Location: Hybrid — New York, New York, United States

Salary: $120K–$135K gross annually, including base and bonuses, plus standard hirify.global benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop enterprise-grade full-stack applications using .NET/C# and React.
• Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and integrate internal and third-party systems.
• Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Design and optimize MS SQL Server databases, including queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Deploy, scale, and monitor applications with Azure services, including App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
• Participate in code reviews, stakeholder collaboration, technical estimation, production troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience with C# and .NET.
• Strong expertise in ASP.NET Core Web API, dependency injection, and asynchronous programming.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript ES6+.
• Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Proven experience designing and optimizing MS SQL Server databases, including T-SQL, schema design, and query tuning.
• Strong hands-on experience with Entity Framework or Entity Framework Core, including code-first migrations, LINQ, and query performance optimization.
• Solid experience building and deploying applications on Azure.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, clean code practices, Git, and branching strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Azure AD or Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect for authentication and authorization.
• Knowledge of TypeScript and state management libraries such as Redux or React Query.
• Familiarity with microservices, Docker, or Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or Jest.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
